Outdoor Adventure Brought To You By Loos & Company

When it comes to constructing foot traffic suspension bridges, Loos & Co., Inc. Cableware Division has all the necessary wire rope terminals, net clips, and tools to get the job done right. Whether your bridge overhangs a river 300 feet in the air, or spans a cavern 300 feet long, we offer the necessary supplies to engineer a high quality, reliable, and long-lasting structure. Put safety and quality first with the help of Loos & Company.

CP3Net Clips
Net clips are designed specifically for use on steel cables. The U.S. Navy and Coast Guard originally utilized them to fabricate safety nets, but today they can be found in anywhere cable sections intersect perpendicularly. That includes foot traffic suspension bridges, where they connect railing sections to the decking in a grid-like fashion. This webbing not only offers support to the physical structure of the bridge, but also adds an element of security by protecting pedestrians from slipping off the edge.
Our net clips are available in stainless steel, and accept 7x7 and 7x19 constructions unjacketed in 5/32, 3/16,7/32 and 1/4", or unjacketed with an outside diameter of 5/32, 3/16,7/32 and 1/4". We also offer the Wire Rope Net Clip Tool - #1-N to make clip installation easy, efficient, and consistent. Simply place a clip in the tool, cross the wires in the clip slots, and then strike the unit with a dead blow hammer to fold the ears. (Full directions available on our website.)

Thimbles and Sleeves
We also supply thimbles, oval sleeves, and swaging tools, which are ideal for creating sturdy connections between suspension bridge railings and decking. Thimbles add support to cable eyes by preventing abrasion and wear, and we recommend securing the assembly with Locoloc® oval cable swaging sleeves. We manufacture these sleeves according to MS51844 military-specification criteria to ensure consistent swages.

Swaging Tools
You will also need a swaging tool to accompany your oval sleeves. For connections strong enough to sustain a suspension bridge, we offer a full line of Locoloc® manual and battery-operated swaging tools. They are US-made, reliable, and designed for an extremely long life. Browse our full selection of swaging tools on our website, and do not hesitate to contact our knowledgeable sales team if you need assistance choosing the best option for your project.
