esheaves Logo NEW

QSheaves is a highly customizable replacement sheave that ships quickly from stock. While selecting a custom sheave may sound complex, eSheaves has an easy configuration system that helps you get the right QSheave for your application. Continue reading to get a step-by-step process of how you can configure your QSheave.

  1. Select Sheave Outer Diameter:

The first step in configuring your QSheave is to select an outer diameter. Each diameter size has a unique part # call out, which makes ordering your QSheave simple. The available sizes for QSheaves are 6”, 8”, 10”, or 12”. To make things even easier, the part number correlates with the sheave size. For example, a 6” sheave has the part number Q06, and an 8” sheave is Q08, etc.

  1. Select Rope Diameter:

The second step of the QSheave configurator is to choose rope diameter. Available sizes for our QSheaves are 3/8”, 7/16”, 1/2”, 5/8”, and 3/4”. It is important to note that the 3/8” and 7/16” rope sizes are not compatible with 12” sheaves and 3/4” rope diameter is only available in 12” sheaves. Each rope diameter option has a unique part # call out.

  1. Select Bearing:

For bearings, we offer three different options. The bronze bushed roller bearing with inner race or roller bearing. The bronze bushed is classified as Z, roller bearing with inner race as W, and roller bearing as R. It is important to note if you choose bronze brushed bearings, you can switch out the standard option for 841 bearings and if you choose a roller bearing with or without inner race you have an option to have them sealed or unsealed.

  1. Select Shaft Size:

After you choose the appropriate bearing, you need to select a shaft size. Each bearing type has different shaft sizes with unique part numbers. The smallest shaft size available for bronze brushed, or roller bearing with inner race is 1.000” and for roller bearing 1.250”. The biggest shaft size for bronze brushed, and roller bearing is 2.000” while the roller bearing with inner race biggest size is 1.625”.

  1. Select Hub Width:

The final step is to choose your hub width. Depending on your choice of bearing, you will have a few sizing options for hub width. Each bearing style has three available hub widths and different hub sizes, and each hub width has a unique part number.

Once these steps are complete, you can build your custom part number by arranging the call outs in this specific order: [1 – Sheave OD] [2- Rope Diameter] [3 – Bearing] [4 – Shaft Size] – [5 – hub width]. Here is an example: Q0810W22-24 = [1 – Q08 – 8″ Sheave] [2 – 10 – 5/8″ Rope Diameter] [3 – W – Roller Bearing with Inner Race] [4 – 22 – 1.375″ Shaft Size] – [5 – 24 – 1.500″ hub width].
