Fork Ends:
Loos Cableware Division offers three types of fork ends:
1. MS20667 Fork End fittings are domestically manufactured from stainless steel and to MIL-DTL-781 standards. Loos Cableware® Division offers a wide range of MS20667 sizes that fit cables sizes 1/16” up to 1”.
2. MS21252C Clevis Fork fittings are domestically manufactured from carbon or stainless steel and comply with MIL-DTL-8878 specifications.
3. NAS1435-K strap fork end fittings are certified to NAS standards, DFARS compliant, and made in the USA. We carry sizes of strap fork end fittings that fit cables for sizes 1/16” up to 3/16”.
Ball Ends:
Loos Cableware Division offers three types of ball ends:
1. Plain Ball (BA3) fittings meet all Boeing’s BACT14B standards and meet MIL-DTL-781 specifications. These corrosion resistance steel fittings are manufactured to National Aerospace Standards.
2. Single Shank Balls (MS20664) are manufactured from stainless steel in accordance with MIL-DTL-781 specifications. Single shank balls are versatile cable end fittings that are the perfect application when a cable to be terminated with a swage fitting needs to exceed the minimum breaking strength of the cable that is being swaged.
3. Double Shank Balls (MS20663) are manufactured from Mil-Spec corrosion-resistant stainless steel and is certified to the MS20663 standard. Our Double Shank Balls are Made in the USA and DFARS compliant.
Oval Sleeves:
Loos Cableware Division offers three types of oval sleeves:
1. Locoloc® MS51844 Series Oval Sleeves are for eye, lap, and stop sleeve splicing. MS51844 sleeves are available in either aluminum or copper and are capable of supporting a greater load than the rated breaking strength of the cable they are attached to.
2. The SL11 Series Locoloc® Stainless Steel Oval Sleeves make it simple and easy to lap-and-eye-splice cable and wire rope. The stainless-steel build makes these sleeves ideal for marine, corrosive, and general outdoor environments.
3. Locoloc® Thin Wall Aluminum Oval Sleeves are the perfect fitting for use on hemp, nylon, Dacron, manila, cotton, all types of fiber, synthetic rope, bungee cord, and plastic-coated cables.
Thimbles:
Loos Cableware Division offers four types of thimbles:
1. AN100 Thimbles come in stainless steel or cold-rolled steel. These domestically manufactured thimbles fit cable diameters from 1/16” to 3/8”, are ideal for harsh environments, and meet AN standards.
2. The EY411 Series of Standard Galvanized Wire Rope Thimbles protects the cable eye from wear or abrasion over the mating part. EY411 thimbles are available for cable diameters 1/8” up to 1”.
3. The EY414 Series of Wire Rope Thimbles are constructed with galvanized steel and are considered heavy duty. EY414 Thimbles fit a range of cable sizes from 1/16” up to 1”.
4. The EY18 series of Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Thimbles protects the cable eye from wear or abrasion over the mating part. EY19 thimbles fit various cable sizes from 3/32” up to 1/2”.
